AbstrAct

Teachers have beeworking in the night periodThis conduct associated  to the dissatisfactions is causing sleep disturbances  (SD) and  anxiety. objectiveS:  this study evaluated  143 women  teachers  (WTeachers)  of public schools of Quipapá/PE, Brazil with SD and anxiety symptoms. MethoDS: The subjects were divided into teachers that work 1 shift (CONTROL  1), n=13; teachers that work 2 shifts (CONTROL  2), n=12  and teachers that work 3 shifts (Wteachers-3T), n=118. A questionnaire about SD and the Beck Anxiety Inventory were used. The SD data were analyzed  by the Kruskal-Wallis test with multiple comparison in Dunn and expressed in MEDIAN (MINIMUM MAXIMUM) and the anxiety by the chi-square, expressed in percentile, both with p<0.05. reSultS: WTeachers- 3T present larger percentile of SD, such as:
